I am using Windows Vista and do not have software for some of my hardware
Many hardware components (printers, keyboards, etc.) designed before Windows Vista was released may not have compatible software on their installation CDs. In that case, most of the time software updates are available on Windows Update or on the manufacturer's web site.
Solution 1: Windows Update
Many driver updates are available on Windows Update for Windows Vista. To run Windows Update, first go to Start, Programs, then Windows Update. Select Check for new updates from the sidebar. Windows will now search for updates for all your software and hardware. When it is done, it will prompt you to install all the recommended updates. Instead of installing them, click the link to Optional updates, then scroll down the list to see if your hardware is listed. If it is, then check off its box and click Install. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically. Your computer may require a restart once it's completed.
Solution 2: Check the manufacturer's web site
Almost all manufacturers have updated their web sites to include updated Windows Vista compatible software for their hardware. The manufacturer's web sites are usually listed on the packaging for the hardware. Also you can find many manufacturers from our Partners page.
If these solutions did not help, you can always bring the system to Micro Computers plus and our team of technicians will find a solution for you.
